Job Description
Ventura County invites applications for a Planner III position with an excellent benefits package and salary range from $67,412.54 to $94,729.96 annually; salary dependent upon career experience and qualifications. This mid-level planning position performs duties such as: processing land use entitlements, reviewing and interpreting planning ordinances, state regulations (including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), land use policies, and preparing written reports, researching, analyzing, and compiling information, making oral presentations, conducting field investigations, and providing general guidance to the general public in response to questions about planning projects and programs.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Considerable experience in land use planning which has led to the acquisition of a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related field, and three or more years of progressively responsible planning experience.
