Job Description
We currently have an opening in our Los Angeles office for a Planner for our Transportation and Infrastructure division. Key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities would include field work, field verification of requirements from MMRPs, interfacing with engineers, architects, planners, public agencies, construction contractors, and other environmental field personnel to support environmental compliance during construction.
Assist in the preparation of transit planning and transportation planning technical documents, including but not limited to feasibility studies and alternatives analyses.
Assist in the preparation and review of environmental technical reports and chapters of documents that that comply with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Responsibilities would also include data processing, document control, researching, writing, word processing, GIS, graphics preparation, graphics formatting, document formatting, task management, client relations, sub-consultant relations, etc. for transit/transportation planning and environmental planning tasks.

Required Experience / Skills / Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Degrees in Urban Planning, City Planning, Environmental Planning, Transit/Transportation Planning, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Urban Studies, Geography, or related fields are required.
Proficiency with ArcGIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Office Suite required. Proficiency with Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Task management skills. Detail-oriented. Multi-tasking abilities. Interest in transit/transportation planning and environmental planning (NEPA/CEQA)
Experience with transit planning, transportation planning, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) preferred.
