Job Description
The City of Carson’s Planning Division is seeking an Assistant Planner with strong technical knowledge and a collaborative and customer service oriented approach to their work to be part of the Planning team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties. This position will be responsible for the review of residential, industrial and commercial development projects and have the opportunity to assist with a number of important policy projects including the General Plan Update, Zoning Code Update, SCAG grant funded Neighborhood Oriented Development Plan, and the establishment of Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts. WORK SCHEDULE: The normal work week is Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
SALARY RANGE: $62,172-$79,344 annually
