Will consider Transportation Planner
Under general supervision of a Senior Transportation Planner, the incumbent provides completed staff work and functional support for the Rural Planning Office, which include Local Development Review (LDR), Multimodal Transit/Community Planning, grant administration, and Regional Planning activities. The incumbent will also serve as the District Native American Liaison regarding the government-to-government relationships with Native American Tribes within the District. As such, the incumbent’s duties are directly assisting local agencies by providing technical assistance, support and coordination for both internal and external transportation partners, and responding to inquiries from the public; assisting local transit and planning agencies in their applications and administration of Transportation and Planning Grant activities; coordinating and administering the Tribal Liaison duties; serving as a liaison to local agencies and headquarters as needed; and attending various meetings and interacting with staff and officials from various District Offices and other public agencies.
