Job Description
The City of Temple City is seeking a Community Development Supervisor to lead the Planning & Building Division of the Community Development Department. Responsibilities will include supervising current and advanced planning services and activities, supervising building inspections, plan check, and permitting activities, coordinating activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies, and providing highly responsible and complex administrative support and technical/professional advice and assistance to the Director of Community Development and Planning Commission.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban or regional planning or a related field and four years of increasingly responsible urban or regional planning experience, including two years of project management is required. A Master’s degree in urban or regional planning and supervisory experience is desirable. AICP Certification is highly desirable. A California Class C driver license is required.
